I’m riding with Cumbrian Heavy Horses – can I check in earlier/ out later?

We are able to offer early check in (1pm) and late check out (up to 1pm) when we have the availability for £22.50 each. You can add this to your booking as an ‘additional service’.  If you’re riding and would like to safely store luggage or personal items please speak to a member of the team when you arrive (riders only)

Is the garden secure for dogs?

Yes, the garden is fully fenced with gates—perfect for curious pups. We ask that your dog is supervised at all times while in the garden of Black Combe Lodge – as our heavy horses pass in front a couple of times a day.

How many dogs can I bring?

Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at Black Combe Lodge – we even offer welcome Doggy Bags! You can add ‘pets’ to your booking for £4 each.

Is there heating and WiFi?

Yes, all our cabins have their own heating system with radiators in the living space, bedroom and a heated towel rail in the bathroom.

Do I need to book the Hot Tub in advance?

Yes – you can add the Hot Tub to you booking for each night you’d like to have it available. Pre-booking is essential. To conserve energy and allow for our cleaning procedure all hot tubs are kept off between visitors. They each take 6 – 8 hours to reach full relaxation tempreture!
