Baystone Bank Farm is located is the South of the Lake District National Park. While our campsite is quiet and away from the crowds we have endless scenary, hikes and beaches to explore – right on our doorstep!

WALK
Swineside Stone Circle (from Camp)
Take a steady stroll from the campsite, following the single track path until you reach the old farmhouse ruins. Take a sharp left and follow the gate line around the side of the fell until, in the distance ahead, you see Swineside Stone Circle. This sacred place is 6000 years older than Stonehenge and has a touch of magic about it!
WALK
Black Combe (2 miles)
Take a short drive from the campsite to a nearby track and walk up the tallest hill in England. The name-sake for one of our lodges and a beautiful rise on our campsites backdrop the walk up Black Combe is simple, steady and guarentees astonishing views of the valley.


BEACH
Silecroft (5 miles)

This beautiful stretch of beach is also where we’ll often take our horses for a swim on hot days. Time it right and you might just see them taking a soak!

Haverigg (6 miles)
Just up the coast from Silecroft you’ll find the lesser know Haverigg. A sandy, dog-friendly beach with a large playground, The Beach Café, and free parking. Great for paddling, sandcastles, and relaxed seaside walks.

Flat, accessible trails through marshes and woods with bird hides and wildlife spotting. See Buzzards and Seabirds galore in this unspoilt corner close to the campsite.
